Vairin
A fictional story of a kid from Porbandar, who wants to become a hero. Inspired from the ideologies of the Mahatma gandhi. The illustration used is an amalgamation of traditional line art technique with the modern flat illustration style.
Further 2 versions of the book are created based on the concept of syntactics and semantics. Where, the illustration and stories are redesigned according to the context.
Version 1 - Semantics
Cute is the Re-interpretation of 'Vairin' with a completely different story keeping the essence of the initial story.
In this version, I tried to create a fictional world of robotic characters with minimum facial feature. Thus, the character expressions are more dependent on their body language.
Version 2 - Syntactics
An Abstract representation of the main illustrations, 'Vairin', where the human gestures are used to create the subtle expression in the shapes.
In this version, the entire body language is exaggerated to make it more expressive as no facial feature are used.
Furthermore, the background color gradients are used to represent the the mood in each scene.
